Spring and Summer: These seasons bring lush greenery and wildflowers, but also have afternoon showers. Thunderstorms are common, especially in June and July.
Fall: Expect cooler temps and morning fog. Rain is less frequent but can still surprise you.
Winter: Snow is rare at lower elevations but possible in the higher mountain areas. Rain is more likely than snow in places like Gatlinburg.

A little prep goes a long way when it comes to weather. I have quite a few practical tips to help you stay dry, stylish, and stress-free. My absolute favorite are clear umbrellas! They're not just functional, they also photograph beautifully. I love capturing my couples under one umbrella sharing an intimate embrace or kiss for a more romantic candid shot. But they also bring a youthful vibe as you hold hands and run down the parkway under your umbrellas!
I also recommend towels to help keep you dry between shots. As well as blankets for warmth in the colder months. Waterproof makeup, boots, and even light weight gowns that dry quickly are all ways to prepare for the rain to make the experience even better. But don’t worry too much, I always bring emergency supplies in my gear bag and help my couples stay comfortable and confident no matter what Mother Nature throws at us!
