Honeysuckle Hills Wedding Experience
As much as I love to provide informational articles for my couples looking to elope to Gatlinburg, I am also a sucker for a love story! I get to know so many couples as a Gatlinburg photographer, and sure enough, by the end of their elopement, it feels like we are friends! Nicole and Jared’s Honeysuckle Hills wedding was nothing short of dreamy and an absolute pleasure to photograph. Let’s dive into this couple and what made their day special! And along the way, of course I will be sharing wedding photos for inspiration!
Honeysuckle Hills Wedding Venue
The venue is nestled just north of Gatlinburg, near the edge of Pigeon Forge. According to its charming owners, a lovely couple, the estate boasts over 100 years of history! Set in the heart of the mountains, it is surrounded by picturesque pastures and the lush, vibrant greenery that defines this beautiful region. Not to mention, there is a lily pond, bridal suite and so much more to adore!
About The Couple
Jared and Nicole met through mutual friends in the most novel-worthy meet cute! Nicole was helping a friend with some babysitting while Jared was downstairs working on a basement remodel. Jared is a general contractor who happened to be the roommate of the mutual friend’s boyfriend. So he was asked to do the job! When he came upstairs, he saw her and knew immediately he needed her number! So later that week, Nicole’s friends asked if she could give her number to Jared. And the rest is history!
Wedding Style
This elopement at Honeysuckle Hills is the perfect example of how you can elope but still tie in a wedding style you love! Nicole wanted to have warm colors and boho touches in her elopement. So the couple's daughter wore a burgundy bridesmaid dress that matched Jared’s vest perfectly! Then they incorporated warm burgundies, oranges and yellows into Nicole’s bohemian style wedding bouquet. Sticking to a style and making small touches really elevated this elopement, making it both beautiful and memorable.
Dog Wedding Attire
Including your pets at your elopement is always so much fun! Especially when it comes to what your dog will wear. Jared and Nicole opted to have their dogs in wooden wreath collars that were decorated with lush boho florals. This correlated beautifully with the couple’s wedding style, as well as was a unique touch I have never seen before!
Ceremony
Honeysuckle Hills wedding venue has a ton of different backdrops for your elopement! From a darling pavilion to bridges and fields. You really can say your vows anywhere on this stunning property! Jared and Nicole decided on one of my personal favorites which is a small lawn that is backed up to a field with a mountain view. This spot just feels so much like the Smoky Mountains to me and give a very intimate atmosphere.
Bridal Portraits
In their questionnaire Nicole mentioned that Jared was more of an introvert and not super romantic in pictures. But you would never know that just looking at their bridal portraits! My greatest honor as a Gatlinburg photographer is creating a comfortable space where my couples can fully embrace one another and express their love boldly with each other. I was able to capture some tender moments with Jared and Nicole where you can feel the love they have, and I am seriously obsessed!
