How To Get More Variety in Your Gatlinburg Wedding Gallery

As a Gatlinburg wedding photographer, I’m going to let you in on a secret that I don’t feel like enough people know about: you can have two different backdrops for your wedding photos. You heard me right. Two. Or three! Getting variety in your photos is the key to loving your wedding gallery. Let’s talk about it.

Different Locations, All the Perks

You only get one wedding, but it’s hard to pick just one style for all of your wedding photos! Sometimes you’d like to go flirty, other times, the moodier portraits are more appealing. If you’re like me, you probably have a Pinterest page full of conflicting aesthetics!

When you opt for more than one location in your wedding photography, your photo gallery will reflect more diverse styles. Kailey and Dakota did this! They had their ceremony with family and friends at Foothills Parkway, and then they followed me into Cades Cove for some couple photos. Cades Cove was much darker because of the dense trees, so we got some powerful poses there. It was a great contrast to the airy, lighter portraits in the first location.

Photographers Notice Potential for Variety

Wherever your destination is, Gatlinburg photographers notice the potential for variety! We’ll find different backdrops based on foliage, nearby buildings, footpaths, etc. And we can always change things up through angles and posing. If we’re really running out of ideas, sometimes a walk of just 5-10 minutes can totally change the perspective.

Which Package Should You Book for Variety?

While it will depend on the photographer you book, most Gatlinburg photographers offer photo packages allowing for multiple locations. This type of booking is certain to get you the most variety in your session. When you work with me, I would recommend Elopement Package II, which is two hours of photo time—it works great for couples!

Kailey and Dakota actually booked Elopement Package III, which is three hours of photo time. It worked out great because we got to get all the ceremony photos, family and friends portraits, and then we could go do more diverse shots in Cades Cove.

In short, I want to get all the variety I can out of each shoot, because I want to give you as much to love as possible. As a Gatlinburg wedding photographer, I know your photos are the biggest keepsakes of your wedding. It’s worth doing right!
