Children’s Poses For Family Photos
As a Gatlinburg photographer I love having the opportunity of photographing your family! Whether you are local to the area, or are visiting from out of state. Gatlinburg is one of the best places to get your family pictures taken. From the views of the Smokies, to the lush woods. It is stunning. However, getting your small children to cooperate can be challenging! Making your experience a little less than beautiful. Here are my favorite children’s poses for family photos that will elevate your experience and promise gorgeous images!
Family Hug
This pose is perfect, especially when starting a session, because it is so natural for so many families with small children. Giving hugs and cuddles is part of your every day life when you have little children. When we use this action as a pose emotions come to the surface and endorphins are flying! Another bonus to this pose is that it can be done sitting or standing, giving you lots of options!
Walking Together
This children’s poses for family photos is a classic! It is easy for all ages and never disappoints int he final images. Together you walk towards the camera while holding hands as a family. You can look at one another, swing the child in the middle, or even make a game of it as you bump your hips. Have fun with it and the magic will happen!
Play Time
The best type of family photos are those that show off your personalities! My favorite children’s poses for family photos are those that involve play. A good old fashion game of Red Rover, Ring Around The Rosie, or simply chasing and racing. No matter how you play, if you are focussing on each other, then you images will turn out beautifully!
Individual Children
We all love seeing our children together hugging and playing. However, having individual portraits for each child is something I love to include in your Gatlinburg family photos. It is a time for the individual child to shine and feel special as all the focus is on them! You can even have each child pose with mom or dad for extra special images.
Just Mom & Dad
In every Gatlinburg family photo session I have, I like to give mom and dad a moment the shine! As parents our world revolves around our children. However, it is so important to have moment with just the two of you. I like to emphasize your relationship and love with a few shots of just the two of you!
