Sometimes we don’t get what we want on our wedding day. Maybe you were in a rush to make it legal and then never got to celebrate. Or maybe you were young and in love, but didn’t have the budget for a wedding. As a Gatlinburg photographer some of my favorite images come from the chance to photograph a Gatlinburg anniversary photoshoot! Your relationship has had time to mature and as a result your photos hold such deep meaning.

The Richard’s

Chelsea and Jeremy have been married for 20 years and are best friends. They were pretty young when they met and in a way grew up together. So photographing 20 year anniversary pictures in the Smokies was super exciting for them! Any time you can celebrate your love story you should. Chelsea wanted these photos to share with her family so that the celebration of their love could be remembered and cherished for generations.

What To Wear

If you didn’t get to have the wedding of your dreams, or even celebrate with an intimate elopement, then you deserve to go all out for your anniversary photoshoot! I love how Chelsea got an actual wedding dress for this shoot! It fit her perfectly and the pink tones played so well against the Smoky Mountains. She also hired Summerlynn Beauty for her hair and makeup. It was such a luxury experience for her to get all dolled up, really giving her that bridal feel!

First Look

And with that I always try to create opportunity for candid moments with raw emotions. Since both Chelsea and Jeremy were getting all dressed up for this photoshoot we decided to do a first look. This was such a beautiful moment for them as they have had so many years of memories together!
