Gatlinburg Cabin Wedding

Photographers in Gatlinburg are lucky to experience so many different types of weddings. I personally see a lot of adventurous elopements in the Smoky Mountains and the towns surrounding Gatlinburg. And out of all the beautiful options available, each couple always picks a place that perfectly suits them to exchange vows. Let me share a wedding venue with you that was just the right amount of homey and elegant–a Gatlinburg cabin wedding!

Why have a Gatlinburg Cabin Wedding

A Gatlinburg cabin wedding marries the wild outdoors with an intimate, family setting. Cabins feel warm with big fireplaces and rough-cut wood features. Large windows bring in the sunlight. When the weather’s right, have your ceremony or cocktail hour outside, and get the most enchanting photos in the greenery of the woods. A cabin will be the right choice for adventurous couples; you can get the peace of a secluded area without sacrificing amenities.

Perks Of a Cabin Wedding

DIY your own cabin wedding by, first, finding a vacation rental that allows weddings and big parties. There are so many options for rental locations! Especially in Gatlinburg. You can find a good venue anywhere, which can make travel much easier. Find vendors for chairs & tables, catering, and videography. I have a lot of recommendations for vendors in the area! You can even build your own ceremony archway, perfectly suited to your style. With a little creativity, your wedding dreams can become reality without the extra costs and fees of a large venue rental. A cabin wedding is such a great option because every piece of the wedding can be customized for your preferences. AND you get nature’s backdrop!

This wedding was planned for outside, but it poured rain that day. Luckily, there was a break in the rain that allowed us to do portraits outside. The bride requested light, airy and true to life color for the outdoor portraits, and I’m glad she did. The low clouds and mountains complemented the periwinkle, blue, and purple wedding colors. We captured so many sweet moments between these two. Their tender romance is so evident in their smiles.
