Matt and Emma were planning to get pictures for their Christmas cards taken. Matt said that he would take the lead in finding a photographer. And that is when he found me on Google, and we started to plan! While planning we talked about how I would set them up for the pose right before he dropped on one knee, as well as any preferences he had.

As a Gatlinburg wedding photographer I have come to find the best secluded spots within the National Park! For intimate moments that will become memories that will last a life time, you deserve to have a little privacy. And since one of the most memorable experiences that couples can have in Gatlinburg is a surprise proposal. I always give my insider recommendations of scenic and private locations.

When planning their surprise Christmas proposal, Matt told me that he wanted a backdrop full of mountains for their proposal. So we planned to meet at an outlook in the Smokies. There are so many outlooks within the park, and I didn’t want Matt and Emmas moment to be filled with tourists. However, I know of a few less visited and more secluded outlooks that would be perfect for an intimate proposal.
