Anniversary Photo Shoot In Gatlinburg

Lauren and Chase booked me for their one year anniversary photo shoot, and I was so happy they picked me as their Gatlinburg photographer. From dreamy golden hour lighting to playful details like cowboy hats, here’s how we made their anniversary session unforgettable.

Making Up for Lost Memories

As I got to know this couple, they revealed they had a bad wedding photography experience with another photographer, which broke their heart. So, with these new photos, they’ll have something to decorate their first home together. In their words, they’re “making up for the memories that were never captured and that we can’t get back.” So we definitely had a goal in mind for some amazing photos.

Adding Personality to Your Anniversary Photo Shoot

When we’re taking an anniversary photo shoot, it’s all about your shared identity as a couple! Every couple has a unique style and I love to showcase that. Lauren and Chase are spontaneous and love adventures, so we took them right into the Smoky Mountains. And Lauren even came out exploring barefoot!

Another way to add personality to your session is adding unique props or accessories. I loved Chase’s signature cowboy hat, for example! Lauren’s turquoise earrings and oversized sweater were fun too. Think about what you could bring for your next session.

Romantic Posing for Anniversary Photo Shoot

Romantic poses are the secret ingredient for the perfect anniversary photos. We love the hand-holding, the snuggling, and a gentle hand on the neck! Tender poses help you remember the sweet feelings of going through life together as partners. Remember, the key to romantic posing is comfort, so if you’re having fun those poses will come naturally!

As a Gatlinburg photographer, I hope to take you up for a sunset anniversary photo shoot too. Not only will you walk away with stunning photos, but you'll also create lasting memories together in one of the most beautiful places in the Smoky Mountains. Drop me a line here.
