Spence Cabin Elopement
A Gatlinburg elopement location that is so underrated is Spence Cabin. This hidden gem of the Smoky Mountains has quickly become one of my all-time favorite elopement venues for it’s serene atmosphere, wooded backdrops and babbling brook. Read on to see if a Spence Cabin elopement is for you!
Location
Spence Cabin is location just south of Gatlinburg and is a 25 minute drive from downtown. It is close to Laurel Falls, as well as a number of trail heads. It is also a piece of Smoky Mountain history as it is located in the Elkmont Historic Distract, which is on the National Register of Historic Places.
Spence Cabin Elopement
The cabin itself has four small meeting rooms, with the largest being 432 square feet featuring a fireplace. If you are looking to have your ceremony or reception inside the cabin, this is the room I recommend. However, most couples opt to be married on one of the stunning patios on the property with wooded backdrops. The atmosphere outside of the cabin is ideal for those eloping to Gatlinburg.
Appalachian Clubhouse
One of the amenities included with a Spence Cabin elopement is use of the Appalachian Clubhouse. This historic structure is located in the Elkmont Historic distract as well, and is close to the Spence Cabin location. The 3,000 square foot clubhouse is one story and has a large open meeting hall that is perfect for a reception space! There are french doors along the entire east side of the hall, as well as a gorgeous stone fireplace.
In addition, the clubhouse is equipped with folding chairs, round dining tables, and rectangular buffet tables. There is a caterer’s kitchen that has everything you would need to warm and serve already prepared food, though there are no cooking appliances or refrigerators. As well, there are newly built restrooms right outside of the clubhouse.
