Cades Cove Elopement In The Fall

The seasons are changing and I am getting beyond excited for fall wedding season to begin! Everything about a Gatlinburg elopement in the fall is dreamy and magical. However, with so many stunning locations within the Smoky Mountains to choose from, it can be difficult to decide on a spot. This Cade’s Cove elopement was so stunning that it may just make the difficult decision of choose a location a bit more simple!

What Makes Cades Cove Special

This isolated valley has a rich history and the most opportunities to view wildlife in the Smokies. Although Cades Cove is enjoyed today as a tourist destination, it was once used by the Cherokee Indians to hunt. After that, Europeans settled the land, resulting in the wide variety of historic buildings that you will find in the valley.

Throughout Cades Cove you will find barns, log houses, churches, a working gristmill, and many other restored eighteenth and nineteenth century structures. All of these locations make for gorgeous and unique backdrops for your Cades Cove elopement! And while you are in the woods of the valley, you may even get a visit from the National Parks wildlife.

Cades Cove Elopement

There are so many gorgeous locations to say your vows in Cades Cove, however this open field is one of my favorites! This spot is especially wonderful for Cades Cove elopements in the fall, as the tree line pops with autumn colors as the leaves change. In addition, you are able to capture the depth of the Smokies with the mountains in the distance.

Another perk to this specific location is how quiet it is. Even during the busy season, this open field does not experience a lot of foot traffic from visitors. Giving you a more private and intimate ceremony. As well, if you do get to see wildlife, they typically stay in the distant tree line. Offering you a safe space to enjoy nature without being too close for comfort.

Consider a Cades Cove elopement for your big day! You will absolutely fall in love with the beauty of this elopement location, as well as have so many fun things to do in Gatlinburg. Ready to book your elopement photographer? Reach out! I can’t wait to hear from you.
