Gatlinburg Anniversary Photo Shoot Ideas

Looking for anniversary photoshoot ideas? This Gatlinburg photographer just got to go back to Foothills Parkway Scenic Drive for another to-die-for session, just an hour outside of Gatlinburg or just 20 minutes from Pigeon Forge! This time we were back with the Lotzs for their five year anniversary pics. With an adventurous couple, a beautiful blue sky, and the open road near the Smoky Mountains, there’s nothing not to love in this Foothills Parkway anniversary photoshoot.

Meet the Lotzs

The Lotzs would describe their relationship as “young love,” since they’ve been together a total of twelve years! Their relationship started in high school, so they’ve loved being able to share practically their entire lives with each other. Something cute and unique about them? They always kiss in threes, as a way of saying “I-love-you!”

These two are extroverted and energized–so much that they wanted to play music during their photoshoot to capture their personal mood! It made this anniversary shoot really stand out from the rest.

Photography on Foothills Parkway

There are 71 miles of beautiful parkway along this scenic drive, and these guys were up for the challenge! We were lucky to find some lush trees and tall grass that perfectly overlooked the mountains. The sun wasn’t too bright during our shoot, and the rolling clouds were an amazing backdrop for this couple.

Actually, when Kylie first found me on Instagram, she said she wanted to book because of the location and the crisp, clean colors. I know that she will feel just as excited as I am about the bright greens and muted blues we captured.

Anniversary Photoshoot Ideas

When I asked the Lotzs what they wanted to see when they looked back on these photos, they said they wanted to remember “true love, intimacy and teamwork.” To bring those ideas to life, I made sure to capture details that really show how deep their connection really is: the little looks toward each other, their wedding bands, and their hands.

A great moment in this set was being able to capture some pictures on the long Foothills Parkway road. It seemed like a great way to symbolize the places these two have already been, and all the goals they’re still going to achieve together.

Does this set give you anniversary photoshoot ideas? I’d love to document your anniversary or couple photos on the Parkway, or anywhere near Gatlinburg! Reach out and let’s chat!
