First Look

This is a trend that is becoming tradition, and I cannot recommend it enough! Have a first look before your wedding ceremony with just the two of you. This is a time to not only capture amazing wedding photos, but also to connect with each other. A lot of emotions are in the air right before you say your vows. Calm any nerves and ground yourself by connecting with your person and taking a moment to simply be together.

Ceremony In The Mountains

As a Gatlinburg wedding photographer, this may just be my favorite of all the fall wedding tips! Have you ceremony in the mountains on an outlook. Gatlinburg has easy access into the Smoky Mountains, which are amazing as the seasons change and the colors of the trees begin to pop! In addition, this will provide the most stunning backdrop for your ceremony, as well as provide a bit of space if you plan on having family and friends attend.

Family & Friends

So many of my couples choose to elope to Gatlinburg, which I love! However, if you are able to have a few friends and family come along I highly recommend it. Having your inner circle there to witness your love for each other, as well as celebrate with you, can make a world of difference. They offer support, love and all the good vibes!

Bridal Details

Whether you are planning an intimate elopement or a larger celebration with friends and family, bridal details are a must! As a Gatlinburg wedding photographer, I always capture the little details of both the bride and groom. Everything from your wedding day deserves to be remembered and cherished for generations to come! And that includes your florals, the details on your gown, your shoes and so much more!

Golden Hour

As a Gatlinburg wedding photographer, I always embrace golden hour with my couples. And golden hour in the fall is even more spectacular! The sun seems to have a warmer glow to it, and the brilliant fall colors of the changing trees just amplifies it’s effect!

After capturing those magical golden hour images, stick around for blue hour. Blue hour is when the sun is at a significant depth below the horizon, and twilight is approaching. Giving your wedding pictures a whimsical and cool effect with this unique lighting.

These Gatlinburg fall wedding tips are just a few of my favorites! I have so many more for my couples who are planning on getting married in the Smoky Mountains. Reach out, and let’s connect!
