Hikes

The best way to add adventure to your Gatlinburg elopement is to incorporate a hike. Hiking through the mountains will offer you an iconic experience with outstanding views. In addition, there are a variety of hikes in the Smokies. Whether you are looking for something intense and adventurous, or easy going with great views, there is a hike waiting for you!

Here are some of my favorite hikes that are worth your time:

  • Elkmont Little River Hike

  • Bullhead Trail

  • Clingmans Dome

Now, if you want to add a little wanderlust to your hike, then definitely check out one of the many waterfall hikes! Each is unique in its own way and absolutely breathtaking. you can also get more adventurous wedding photos in the water if you are up for a bit of a splash!

Here are some popular waterfall hikes to consider:

  • Rainbow Falls

  • Abram’s Falls

  • Ozone Falls

  • Laurel Falls

  • Grotto Falls

Scenic Drives

The session type you invest in will determine how many locations you will have with me. If we have more than one location, then you will definitely get a scenic drive! If not, then you will have to plan this on your own. However, this is an easy activity to plan, as basically, every road in the Smoky Mountains is stunning. You can take a trip through the Foothills Parkway and enjoy 33 miles of beauty, or consider taking Cades Cove’s loop for a spin!

Adventure in Gatlinburg

There are so many thrilling events and activities through Gatlinburg and the Smokies. And so many make to perfect addition to your elopement! Here are some of my favorites for brides and grooms:

  • Goliath Zipline Tour - 150-acre park features multiple zip line courses including the highest, fastest and the longest lines in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Zip up to 60 mph, over 1/2 mile long and over 500ft high!

  • Anakeesta Mountaintop Adventure Park - Mountain coasters, dining and shopping. Anakeesta really does have it all! And the excitement continues through the night. So, be sure to add on the Astra Lumina to have an enchanting night walk among the stars.
